About Me

TRAINING STYLE:

Maggie is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Her training style varies according to her clients' needs, but no matter what, emphasis is placed on good form and core stability. She specializes in pre/post natal training, cross training for runners/triathletes, core integration, and postural/faulty movement correction.

"One of the things I love best about my job is that I get to help people in lots of different ways because everyone is in a different place in life. In one day, I might take someone training for a Tough Mudder through circuits and functional strength exercises, and then the next hour I'm helping an 80 year old who's recently had spinal surgery regain the strength to walk around. It's incredibly rewarding."

BACKGROUND:

Maggie was not always athletically inclined. She was overweight through high school and most of college. In her early 20's, she discovered fitness and the importance of eating healthy, real food.
"I think it's one of my biggest assets as a trainer. I'm not someone who was just blessed with good genetics and has been in shape all my life. I get the struggle many of my clients are experiencing. It's hard to create a healthy lifestyle that is sustainable. Like many young women, I started working out for purely aesthetic reasons. It took many years before I realized that how I felt when I was taking care of my body was far more important than how I looked. The bright side, of course, is that feeling strong and healthy translates to how the body looks!"
